Just friends. Just friends. JUST FRIENDS. If they repeat it enough, maybe it'll be true . . . Hazel Camille Bradford knows she's a lot to take - and frankly, most men aren't up to the challenge. If her army of pets and taste for the absurd don't send them running, her lack of filter and tendency to say exactly the wrong thing will. Their loss. Not everyone can handle a Hazel. Josh Im has known Hazel since college. From the first night they met - when she gracelessly threw up on his shoes - to when she sent him an unintelligible email while in a post-surgical haze, Josh has always thought of Hazel more as a spectacle than a peer. But now, ten years later, after a cheating girlfriend has turned his life upside down, going out with Hazel is a breath of fresh air. Not that Josh and Hazel date. At least, not each other. Because setting each other up on progressively terrible double blind dates means there's nothing between them . . . right? 'Romance for the twenty-first century' Kirkus Reviews

Another Christina Lauren book that was just too cute to be true. I am just discovering the books of Christina and Lauren, but I can already tell that I am hooked and that these two authors will definitely become part of my favourite romance authors!! Their romance novels are cute, realistic and have a great humour that I really do not want to miss anymore. Same goes for "Josh and Hazel's guide to not dating". The characters are lovely and really sympathetic. Both of them immediately found their way into my heart. Especially Hazel though. She is querky, she is funny, she is a little bit crazy, she is wild, she does not care what people think or say about her. She just lives her life the best way she can and this trait in honestly admirable! Hazel is a role model and tells us to not be put down by other peoples' opinions. It doesn't matter whether people find you embarassing because you're simply YOU. Because the right person - in Hazel's case Josh - will love you exactly the way you are and this is a really strong message we should all internalise a bit more!
